Photography as a pursuit is essentially a solitary experience. You may get someone to pose for you but it is not the same as playing in a band. Getting someone to pose is like having someone to turn the pages on the music stand.  Then when you have completed the task you set yourself what then? You can put your images on a photo sharing site like Flickr or a photo mangling site like Facebook or Instagram. But if you want more of a personal experience for the viewer what then? You can have have an exehibition but that involves a lot of work and a lot of expense.

One day I put a stamp on the back of a photo and posted it to myself. It arrived a few days later. It was very creased, had a big black franking mark on the back but there it was. So then I cut a piece of light card to 6 x 4 and stuck that on the back, addtressed it and posted it off. A few days later it arrived in very good condition. And so began my postcard odyssey.
